About Me

I have been an artist for about as long as I can remember.  As a child, I won several school awards for my artwork and was in a gifted program for young artists.  I sold my first piece when I was 12.

As I got older, my interests were drawn to other areas and when it was time to go to college, I was torn between a major in science or art.  Science won out and I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Connecticut State University.

Over the next several years, my career focused mainly on marine biology and then later on physical fitness, but art was still an important part of my life.  I started accepting portrait commissions, selling my work online, and entering juried art shows.

Eventually I decided to go back to school so that I could take my artwork to the next level.  Within a couple of years, I earned an Associate of Science in Visual Fine Arts from Tunxis Community College.  As a result my work has expanded beyond portraits to include landscapes, murals, and scientific illustration.

Please feel free to take a look through my portfolio.  If you like what you see, contact me to order a commission, find out where my work is on display, or even just to learn what I'm planning next.
